Wait and a new moon appears.
A challenge to you. 15 mins before sunset get your phone out and take a picture. You see so much more this way. This is so much easier than taking selfies. ☺️
I started the day heading out to look at Herekino Forest. A faded sign said 'Rahui' and missing any DOC presence. A small track lead into thick bush. The road was narrow so I couldn't stop to capture the spot.
Tonight's sunset. What a difference a day makes.
Last night there was a lovely sunset and lots of stars throughout the night. Very warm in the tent too. The woofers made vegan cheese and presented me with a sample this morning along with their homemade sour dough bread. Yumm.
Raetea Forest, good morning 1.5km campsite. It is great to have a more positive experience than my first time round. Shared 1.5km campsite with Beck's, Max and Tim.

A river walk with Bruce before reaching Mangamuka to camp the night. A whistle stop visit to Paihia. A hole in the rock cruise stopping off for a short walk on Urapukapuka Is before taking a Russell historic tour. Guess who the tour guide was? Sheryl from Wairere. That's me done with Invercargill on St Patrick's Day. Live life fully everyday!
